Australian Garden History is a 24-page journal distributed to financial members of the Society 5 times a year.
It contains articles on Australian gardens, notable gardeners and landscape designers, book reviews, reports of garden visits and tours, and an Australia-wide calendar of forthcoming activities. Each issue has several articles related to a theme, although this is in no way proscriptive.
An independent Editorial Advisory Panel, with representatives from most states advises the National Management Committee and the editor on the journal.

An Invitation
Contributions to Australian Garden History are welcome from interested people.
They may take the form of

• feature articles on aspects of Australia's garden heritage
• photographs of horticultural and historical interest
• an opinion or viewpoint on issues of garden heritage
• reviews of books and web-sites pertaining to garden history
• advice of gardens under threat of subdivision
• letters to the mailbox
• notice of events likely to interest AGHS members

Advertising

Australian Garden History offers some space for advertising at the discretion of the editor and executive officer. Current rates for display advertisements and for inserting leaflets and brochures can be found in advertising.

Have you had trouble finding an article, garden, or other gem in past issues of Australian Garden History? Perhaps you’d like to know what else has been published in AGH in your area of interest?  Such dilemmas are now solved with the Index to Volumes 1–15 of Australian Garden History.

The Society is very pleased to offer this new Index to all visitors to its website. Compiled by AGHS member Kirstie McRobert and designed by Andrew Rankine Design Associates P/L, this comprehensive index covers the period of publication of Australian Garden History from 1989–2004 and is divided into two sections, Subject and Author.

Enthusiasts and professionals of Australian garden history alike can now easily search for entries in the index. To search, after opening document, select Edit on the Adobe menu bar.
